Our First Valentine's Day

This year was by FAR the best Valentine's I have ever had! Levi and I spent it up in Park City Saturday until Monday. It definitely wasn't enough time and it was hard to come back to reality, and we also had our moments of arguing, but I wouldn't trade those moments for the world! Even when he and I fight and argue about stupid little things because we are both so stubborn, I can't forget what an amazing person he is and how much he means to me. I am so grateful that he came into my life and so lucky to have found him early on! I am so excited for all of the many Valentine's Days to come!

The weekend started when we went snowboarding at The Canyons. This was the first time we had both been in over a year, so we were quite nervous as to how many bones we would end up breaking. To my surprise, we both made it back to the car safely without a scratch! (Not including the few times we fell down and how sore my bum felt at the time.) We certainly had some good laughs as I tried to get off the lift, though. Since the very first day I tried snowboarding, I have been terrified of the ski lifts. To this day, I still hate them and get anxiety trying to get off of them. When I got off the first time, things were just fine. However, when I tried to get off the second time, I freaked out and pulled Levi down with me. Gotta love those little moments! At the beginning of our time there, I had a hard time trying to mentally talk myself into going down the hill. It was hard ot get back into the groove of things. By the end, though, I was basically a pro... (Okay, not really..but I was carvin' it up pretty well.) Overall, it was a great day!

After we were done snowboarding we went to the hotel to get check in, Newpark is definitely one of my favorite hotels in Park City..they're way nice! We had a hot tub on our deck which came in handy Valentine's night when it was nice and chilly. Anyway, we made some delicious pizzas together which turned out wonderfully! It was fun playing house all weekend (not so fun doing the dishes and such, I am going to hire a maid when I get married.)

Once we were done eating our yummy pizza (along with Red Bull, my new horrible addiction that I need to kick) we later headed to the movie theatre on Park Ave to see Valentine's Day the movie. I absolutely loved it! I was cracking up the whole time and it was the perfect movie to see the night before Valentine's! It definitely helped me get in the V-day mood (since I never "feel" like it's any holiday.)

Valentine's morning we woke up and Levi left to go get some stuff. I thought he was going to the car but apparently he went to go pick up my beautiful, amazing bouquet of flowers and a cute teddy bear (that smelled like Levi's yummy cologne, might I add.) I got started on cooking breakfast for us, the very first full breakfast I have ever made..oh man, what a challenge. Not only did I have only 2 burners on the stove to work with, but was lacking some skillets. I had to ask the housekeeping ladies for another skillet and even t
hen it was quite the task to get everything together. I started to burn our hashbrowns but they turned out okay. I cooked the sausage in the oven and it turned out looking wonderfully, then I put everything in the microwave to heat it up and I ruined the sausage...go figure. It still turned out decent, probably only because Levi came back and saved the day. I am going to be a horrible housewife, I am not domestic whatsoever!

The rest of the day, we just hungout and went down to the gym in the hotel to workout a little bit and sit in the sauna. We later got ready for our dinner and headed to my most favorite steakhouse, Ruth's Chris. YUM! I was so excited, but let down when we got there because it was SO dang busy that it sort of ruined the romantic atmosphere. While we were waiting, we got some free champagne. Yuck! Never again will I try it.. I gave it 2 chances and it failed me both. I was upset when I was told that they were out of A-1...really? A steakhouse out of A-1? What the eff... Later on a [better] waitress brought me some and that definitely saved my mood, and my steak. I got a filet which was extremely tender! Levi got a ribeye which looked as if it were still mooing on his plate. Ewww. I order my steaks well done and he orders his medium rare.. Opposites attract in some ways, I suppose.

That night, we were able to spend some time in the hot tub which was definitely nice since it was quite chilly up there!

Monday, we had to wake up and pack everything, which is always a hassle no matter how long you stay somewhere. Before we left, we got in our swimsuits and took a fun little bubble bath playing with some foam paint. It was definitely fun to play and laugh :) Packing up and leaving was not so fun, on the other hand. Going back to reality is never thrilling. We went to lunch and had some yummy desserts at Kneader's. Afterwards, we headed to our couple's massage which was awesome but not long enough, as always. It was Levi's first time getting a professional massage so I was glad to share it with him.

That evening, I went to watch Levi play basketball (for the first time in forever) and sadly, his team lost. I suppose I am bad luck and it's probably a good thing I haven't been to any of his games in awhile.... Anyyyyway, I have a horrible time keeping things short, I don't know how people can write short blog updates.. I don't even have a life and I still typed up a novel quite easily! Sheeseh.

Here goes nothin

I know I'm a little behind the times, but I decided to start a blog and actually keep up with it. I guess Facebook stalking got a little old, so here I am! I don't have the most exciting life, by all means, so I'm sure this blog won't be very stalk worthy. This will probably end up being more for me to read than anyone else, but here goes nothin! :)
